Our Services

Mental Health Community Connectors

The Mental Health Community Connectors project here at Doncaster Mind has been developed to connect individuals to the numerous support services in their area. Our team of Mental Health Community Connectors – one in each locality of Doncaster (Central, North, East and South) live locally and are part of these communities themselves. They have in-depth understanding of the needs within each community and can connect them with support at the right time and in the right way.

We support community members into groups and support that they may otherwise not be aware of – many people don’t know just how much support is available to them! We’re here to try and improve that situation!

Community Connectors updated quote

This early intervention and prevention support helps to address issues related to low level mental health problems such as, anxiety, social anxiety, depression, loneliness and more.

How we support into other services

We have lots of connections to many different kinds of services and groups across Doncaster. To access the support of the Mental Health Community Connector you must be 18 or over, that’s it! No need for any medical diagnosis – we’ll support you no matter whatDepending on the area in which you live in, simply email the Connector who works in your locality/area,  with some general info such as where you live and what type of support/group you would like to access or even just an enquiry about what support is available.

If you’re not sure, just give us a brief idea around what type of support you’d like to access, and we’ll do our best to facilitate your needs from there. Below are details of our connectors, their contacts and the localities & wards  we cover.

Not sure who your Connector is, or for any general queries, please contact the Mental Health Community Connectors Coordinator, Zain Fayed, via email on zain@doncastermind.org.uk or by phone call on 07412558191
