Doncaster Mind is a leading mental health charity providing a wide range of services to help support people’s mental health and wellbeing.

We are seeking two proactive & passionate individuals for the role of 'South Locality Mental Health Community Connector' and a Floating Community Connector - covering all localities in Doncaster.  There are 42.5hrs available across both posts.

You will be working in a service that connects and supports individuals on a 1:1 basis to existing mental health & wellbeing community support services, and who are engaging within the Primary Care Mental Health Hubs. There will also be a requirement to consult with communities to map gaps in local support provision. This role is one of four roles in our team of Mental Health Community Connectors, each covering the North, South, East and Central localities respectively.

The South locality of Doncaster covers Conisbrough, Denaby, Edlington, Warmsworth, Mexborough, Rossington, Bawtry, Tickhill, Wadworth & Finningley.

All localities - Support the existing team and could be covering the whole of Doncaster depending on needs and demands of the service.

We’re looking for someone who knows the the localities, to take on the role of ensuring that people in this area are able to access community support whilst engaging within the Primary Care Mental Health Hubs. You will do this by working in partnership with the hubs, increasing outreach and engagement and strengthening community centred approaches around mental health and wellbeing.

The role will also include prioritising and promoting health and wellbeing in community settings by taking an informal and personal approach to working with communities to support and address their priorities in relation to mental health and aid the delivery of mental health support in areas of most need.
