When referring for couples or family therapy, please add details for each person in the couple or family


Adult therapy/counselling maybe for you if you are looking for a safe space to speak to a therapist on a 1:1 basis. This can provide an opportunity to talk about any issues affecting your mental health and how you are feeling. Counselling can also help you to learn more about yourself and what changes you can make to improve your relationships with yourself and others who are important to you.

CYP therapy/counselling maybe for you if you are aged 11-17 and need a safe space to talk to a therapist about difficult feelings, emotions and situations that you are experiencing. You can talk about any issues affecting your mental health help help you to learn more about yourself and what changes you can make to improve your relationships with yourself and others who are important to you.

Couples/Family therapy can help those in close relationships to better understand and support each other. It enables couples or family members to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely, understand each other’s experiences and views, appreciate each other’s needs, build on strengths, and work together to make positive changes in their relationships and lives.

It is natural for difficult emotions to follow the experience of a bereavement by suicide. If you are struggling to come to terms with a bereavement by suicide, this therapeutic service can support you. It is delivered by Changing Lives in Doncaster on behalf of Doncaster Mind. For bereavement support of any other kind please refer to our adult and CYP therapy.

Our adult mentoring programme provides guidance, support and action planning towards living a more fulfilling life and may be for you if you feel stuck or would like some support in making positive changes in your life through goal setting. The programme is designed to build your resilience and coping skills so that you are better able to manage life's challenges as they arise. Support is provided in person and the programme runs for up to 12 weeks.

CYP mentoring might be the right support for you if you need a safe space to discuss any important to you issues, talk about your feelings, learn new skills and develop new interests. Children and young people's mentor is a person who will help you improve your confidence, understand your emotions and navigate any difficulties that you might be experiencing right now.

Joining one of our groups may be for you if you are experiencing low confidence or self-esteem or are struggling with difficult emotions like anger and anxiety. In these groups you can learn, build connections and new relationships, or take part in activities that promote wellbeing. Each group offers something different and we will talk thorough options with you on receiving your referral.

Settle offers regular weekly group and limited one to one support for refugees and those seeking asylum. With a focus on providing a safe place in which to practice English whilst learning self help strategies to improve emotional health, the group is open to all. One to one therapy may be provided either by our own therapy service or through our network, depending on language interpretation and emotional needs of the individual.
