What are talking therapies?
Talking to a skilled professional helps you to make sense of emotional distress and resolve complicated feelings or find ways to live with them. It can also help you to recognise unhelpful patterns in the way you think and act and find ways to change them.
Our team of therapists are trained in many different forms of talking therapies and may incorporate elements across a range of knowledge and skills to support you on your wellness journey. They offer in person, telephone and online therapy sessions. During therapy sessions, the therapist will listen to you without judging you and help you find your own way through your challenges. The therapy space is a safe space for you to talk, cry, shout or think and is a place where you can look at your problems in different ways with someone who respects you.
Our talking therapies come with the assurance that the practitioner you will be working with has been approved and vetted by us to deliver a high quality service. Doncaster Mind is an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
