For us, quality is a factor in everything we do. We want to provide the best service to people who need them, as well as being an excellent employer to our staff and volunteer team. We want to always challenge ourselves and undergo external quality assessment acrossall areas of our work.
The following work shows how we well we are doing – but also how we are always looking to do better.
Quality Management in Mind (QMiM)
QMiM is the quality management assessment carried out by Mind on Local Mind Associations across England and Wales. In 2010, Doncaster Mind participated in this, under Mind’s new, more rigorous programme and was awarded a Level 1.
There are many reasons why holding QMiM is important to us. Participation provides a clear benchmark for us to demonstrate to external agencies such as commissioners that we are operating well, in line with our policies and with the needs of the communities being served. Quality also means that Mind can guarantee a level of service across its network of local Mind associations to all users irrespective of where they access them. Quality Management in Mind is also endorsed by the Charity Commission, further helping us to demonstrate the quality of the services on offer.
Other Quality Reviews
We also maintain several quality standards, including Supporting People, Mentoring & Befriending Foundation and CHAS certificate.
All of our staff and volunteers receive regular supervision and annual appraisals. Both staff and volunteers attend training throughout the year to further develop their professional skills.
Our Trustee Board includes trustees with clinical, business and professional skills who meet every month to monitor the activities of the charity.
